Sessions & talks
For the people doing the work.
Not a workshop about AI tools. These are sessions for engineers and product people already building, and the leaders deciding how their teams build. You leave knowing where AI and agents help, where they break, and how to use them in real work.
Formats
- Private team session
- Half-day or full-day, for teams of 4–20. We build the session around your stack and how far along you already are. Remote or in-person. We’ve run these for engineering teams, product squads, and mixed technical and non-technical groups.
- Public talk
- Meetup and conference talks for technical audiences, on agentic systems, system design, automation, and how the job is changing. 45–60 minutes with Q&A. No vendor pitches.
- Workshop series
- For teams that want more than a day: 3–5 sessions over 4–8 weeks, from fundamentals to applied practice. Taught from real production work, not slides. Teams finish with working prototypes and the judgement to keep building on their own.
What we cover
- What agentic systems actually are, and what they aren’t
- LLMs as collaborators, not just tools: where they help, where they break, and why
- Building agents in practice: tool use, guardrails, human-in-the-loop design, and failure modes
- Retrieval and search in the LLM era: RAG done well, and where it falls apart
- System design that holds up: coupling, boundaries, evaluation, and what “production-ready” actually means
- Automation that fits the work: repetitive operations turned into software that stays out of the way
- Product, end to end: from a real problem to something shipped and used, not a demo
- How the engineer’s and product person’s job changes: what to keep doing, what to hand off, what to drop
- Live building: we often build something in the room, start to finish
Who it’s for
- Engineering teams integrating AI, automating operations, or modernising how they build
- Product teams who need a shared language for building with AI, automation, and modern tooling
- Conference and meetup organisers looking for a practitioner perspective: audiences ranging from engineers and project managers to founders and entrepreneurs
- Teams where the people making decisions are also the people writing the code
- Leaders and founders deciding how their org adopts AI, who want to understand the shift well enough to lead it, not just buy tools
Who it isn’t for
- Teams wanting a tool demo or a vendor pitch: we teach judgement, not a product
- Anyone after certificates or a fixed curriculum off the shelf; every session is built around your actual work
- Large lecture-hall crowds with no hands on keyboards: this is for people who’ll go build afterwards
How it works
- Languages
- Delivered in English or European Portuguese (pt-PT). Materials and live building in either.
- Remote or in-person
- Remote over your tooling of choice. In-person across Portugal; further afield on request, with travel agreed up front.
- Lead time
- We take a handful of sessions a quarter, around the product work, so book early.
- Pricing
- Flat fee per session, scoped to format and team size, no per-seat pricing.
Book a session
Tell us the format, the audience size, the language, and what you want people to walk away able to do. If it isn’t a fit, we’ll say so before you book, and point you somewhere more useful.
