Equity & capital
Angel-size cheques,
plus a builder's eye.
Backing, for us, is angel-size: a small cheque, up to €50K, plus hands-on advisory, as an angel at pre-seed or seed, or alongside others in a bigger round. A few a year, when the problem and the team are both right.
Two ways in
- Capital
- Small cheques, up to €50K. As an angel cheque at pre-seed or seed, or alongside others as part of a bigger round. We won’t anchor your round; we’re happy to be a smaller, useful line on the cap table.
- Advisory
- Hands-on advisory around the work, from people who build, not a passive cheque. We can discuss advisory shares if it’s relevant, but they’re not a requirement.
- Often both
- The cleanest fits are usually a cheque plus advisory: skin in the game and a builder in the room. We’ll tell you upfront which shape we think fits, and why.
How a fit happens
- 01. You reach out
- By introduction where we can, but a cold note that’s clearly a fit counts for something. Tell us what you’re building, where you are, and what you actually need from us.
- 02. A real conversation
- If there’s a fit, we talk properly: the problem, the team, the shape of the work. No deck required. We’re reading for depth and pull, not polish.
- 03. Terms, agreed upfront
- If we go ahead, we agree the shape in writing first: cheque, share, scope, and what “fractional” means in hours, before any work or money moves. No surprises later.
- 04. We’re in
- A few a year, by design. Once we’re in, we’re in the work, not on the sidelines.
Is this you?
- A technical problem that needs genuine engineering depth, not agency work dressed up as a startup
- B2B SaaS, developer tooling, agentic systems, or infrastructure: the things we already live in
- Pre-seed to seed, before the company has more process than momentum
- A clear path to the problem being real: customers, revenue, or a sharp thesis with proof of pull
- You want a builder’s eye on the work, fractional but real, and you’re comfortable giving up a share to get it
Where we don’t fit
- You need a full-time co-founder or a team to hire: that’s not what this is
- You’re raising a large round and need a lead investor: we won’t anchor it, though we’re happy to join
- The problem is mostly go-to-market or design, not engineering depth
- You’re past seed and already running more process than momentum
And, sometimes, for impact
Beyond the commercial side, we come in as the tech partner on a few social or impact projects, work we back because it should exist, not for the return. We’re taking the first of these on now.
Get in touch
Tell us what you’re building, where you are, and what you need from us. If there’s a fit, we’ll set up a real conversation. If there isn’t, we’ll say so, and point you somewhere more useful where we can.
